The Allied Professionals Forum (APF) has just concluded its 1 day meeting here in Sydney. Some 18 papers were presented ranging from the withdrawal of NIV in ALS/MND to the use of developing technologies to assist people with ALS/MND, amongst others.
The day was well received with around 140+ attendees. Those attending were actively encouraged to go home and consider what they had heard and learned, and to reflect on how their practice might change as a result.
The APF meeting continues to be arranged by the International Alliance of ALS/MND Associations and is jointly chaired by representatives of the Motor Neurone Disease Association of England, Wales and Northern Ireland, and by representatives of MND Victoria in Australia.
Next years APF meeting will be held on the 4th December 2012 at the Sheraton Chicago Hotel and Towers in Chicago, USA. See you all there!
